TAK Stockholm Launches the City’s Largest Non-alcoholic Drinks List
TAK Stockholm is reframing the beverage experience. The Nordic-Japanese restaurant is launching Stockholm’s most extensive non-alcoholic selection, with a standalone drinks list of more than 100 curated options. From sparkling teas to crafted mocktails, TAK Stockholm places craft and balance at the centre of modern dining.
Perched high above the city’s rooftops, restaurant TAK Stockholm has long been a pioneer. Its spotlight is firmly set on the captivating meeting between Nordic and Japanese cuisine. The philosophy is straightforward: Nordic ingredients prepared with Japanese techniques, always with sustainability as its guiding light. Now, building on their trademark creativity and curiosity, the restaurant is launching a sober sensation: Stockholm’s largest non-alcoholic beverage menu.
While restaurants often limit non-alcoholic options to just a few alternatives, TAK Stockholm is choosing to go in the opposite direction. By presenting the city’s broadest range of non-alcoholic drinks, it aims to push both suppliers and producers to raise the bar and lead the way. The initiative is timely; while non-alcoholic gastronomy is nothing new, global movements like the burgeoning “Functional Socializing” movement are placing a sharper focus on the social dimension of drinking.

– We want to give non-alcoholic culture the place it truly deserves, and we are happy to take the lead on that journey. For us, it’s about showing an enormous breadth of everything from craft beer to complex wines and sparkling teas. We actually dare to claim that we have Stockholm's, and perhaps Sweden's, largest and highest-quality non-alcoholic selection right now. I more than welcome anyone to come here and prove me wrong over a glass, says Daniel Pettersson, General Manager at TAK Stockholm.
A Menu That Stands on Its Own
The new non-alcoholic menu is so extensive that it no longer fits on the regular wine list. Instead, TAK Stockholm has created a completely separate list, presented to all guests at the table to highlight non-alcoholic choices as an equally well-crafted alternative.
Amanda Sundberg is the Bar Manager at TAK Stockholm. For her, it has been crucial to do away with traditional beverage categories—in order to ensure that guests never have to compromise on quality or choice.

– Our focus has been to create a non-alcoholic experience that is as well-crafted as the rest of our menu. By working with ingredients like fig leaf, roasted tea, and exclusive cordials, we ensure that the non-alcoholic choices are at the highest level and offer something for everyone, says Amanda.
And something for everyone it has. The range in the new list includes over 100 different non-alcoholic items, creating a unique freedom of choice. Here, a deep selection of over 20 non-alcoholic wines—ranging from red and white to sparkling and rosé—is complemented by an extensive range of regular and sparkling teas. Alongside that, a list of almost 50 non-alcoholic beers, sodas, and fruit beverages offers exciting options, like sparkling ume, rhubarb shrubs, and much more.
For something more shaken to order, TAK Stockholm delivers on that front as well. The mocktail section includes soon-to-be favorites like Pistachio & Cucumber, with pistachio, cucumber, agave, and fig leaf, as well as Ginger & Wine, with orange and red wine. It also features more energy-focused concoctions, like an alert Espresso & Tonic with orange.

Expanding the Sober Frontier
The launch of this broad selection is just the beginning of TAK Stockholm's journey into the non-alcoholic realm. Looking to the future, there is a clear ambition to add more alternatives to the list. The team is currently exploring how ingredients like Lion’s Mane, Reishi, and Chaga can be integrated to offer guests something that enriches both body and mind.
For Daniel Pettersson, the main philosophy when it comes to TAK Stockholm’s beverage program—be it with or without alcohol—is balance, depth and character. Whether serving up teas, botanicals, fermented hybrids or beverages from small-scale producers, all drinks are curated to pair naturally with the food.
– At TAK Stockholm, we believe that choosing a non-alcoholic drink should feel just as exciting and considered as choosing wine, sake or a cocktail. For us, it is not an afterthought, but an important part of the whole. Our goal is simple: every guest should be able to enjoy a thoughtful and inspiring beverage experience, with or without alcohol, he says.
