Five Nordic Hotels & Resorts Properties Win Gold at the World Travel Awards 2025
Once again, the Nordic hospitality scene makes a mark on the international stage. Five properties within the Nordic Hotels & Resorts portfolio have been recognised at the World Travel Awards 2025, underscoring the Nordic region’s growing influence in contemporary hospitality.
Founded in 1993, the World Travel Awards have long stood as the hallmark of quality in the global travel industry. Each year, the awards acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry—highlighting everything from green resorts and heritage destinations to beach clubs and boutique hotels. Winners are determined through a global voting process, open to both industry professionals and the general public. This way, the awards can be said to constitute a democratic reflection of excellence.
This year’s results underscore the Nordic region’s growing influence in defining what contemporary hospitality can be: driven by design, rich in contrasts, and always with an imaginative approach. From the Nordic Hotels & Resorts portfolio, we are proud to see five of our hotels rewarded on this important stage.

Finland
Finland’s capital continues to carve its reputation as a design destination, with Helsinki claiming multiple honours this year. Hotel Haven, known for its refined intimacy and impeccable service, has once again been named Finland’s Leading Boutique Hotel. This is its third win in the category. Furthermore, the art-centric Hotel AX takes home Finland’s Leading Design Hotel for the second time, and within the city’s grand dame, Hotel Kämp, the Mannerheim Suite retains its crown as Finland’s Leading Hotel Suite.

The property’s careful balance of sustainability and style has made it a flagship in northern Europe, and a meeting point for locals and travellers alike.

In Oslo, the ever-glamorous THE THIEF once again secures its place at the top. In 2025, it is named Norway’s Leading Boutique Hotel for the tenth year. Its distinctive approach—merging cutting-edge art, architecture, and attitude—continues to redefine what it means to be a contemporary icon. Adding to its victory lap, the hotel’s Oslo Suite was also named Norway’s Leading Hotel Suite, celebrated for its opulent design and fjord views.
