Triple Norwegian Gold at the World Travel Awards 2024

Three of Nordic Hotels & Resorts’ properties took home the gold at the World Travel Awards 2024. THE THIEF, Lily Country Club and Amerikalinjen were honored with first place in the Norwegian categories of Leading Hotel Suite, Leading Conference Hotel, and Leading Boutique Hotel, respectively. 

Since 1933, the World Travel Awards has been a renowned forum for highlighting leading and exceptional experiences within the travel industry. Globally, the award ceremony is known as a seal of quality, with winners setting the standard for the industry at large. Therefore, it is with great pride that Nordic Hotels & Resorts sees three of our hotels reaching the top of their respective categories.

THE THIEF – Norway's Leading Hotel Suite 2024

Oslo, Norway

The arresting landmark THE THIEF on Tjuvholmen in Oslo snagged first place in the category Leading Hotel Suite in Norway for its Oslo Suite—the hotel's largest and mysterious penthouse suite with a private roof terrace and a view of the Oslofjord. This year is the sixth time the Oslo Suite wins this award, testifying to its unrivaled quality for first-class guest experiences.

Lily Country Club – Norway’s Leading Conference Hotel 2024

First place in the category Norway's Leading Conference Hotel was awarded to Lily Country Club. This illustrious resort hotel, beautifully located in a lush, green environment, is known for being experts in the art of creating a work atmosphere for guests that feels more like leisure. One of Norway's best golf courses is located right next to it, and the hotel can also boast a pool, wellness area, and several exciting restaurant and bar concepts.

Amerikalinjen – Norway's Leading Boutique Hotel 2024

Oslo, Norway

Amerikalinjen in Oslo is no stranger to accolades, and his year, the adventurous hotel took home the gold for Norway's Leading Boutique Hotel. The historic landmark that is Amerikalinjen, once the headquarters of the Norwegian America Line, was transformed into a vibrant boutique hotel in 2019. Today, it offers 122 opulent rooms, the popular restaurant Atlas, world-renowned bar Pier 42, and secluded jazz club Gustav.
