Checking In: Lakefront Glamour When the Dock Hotel, Södertälje’s New Urban Destination, Opens
Sweden’s newest social hub is ready for check-in. The Dock Hotel opens by the Södertälje marina, marking a new moment for a city long shaped by water, industry and global influences. With 14 floors of sleek rooms, indulgent restaurants and sky bars, and conference facilities, The Dock Hotel introduces a contemporary rhythm to a place where ships, people and ideas have met for centuries.
Södertälje has always been a city in motion. Just half an hour outside of central Stockholm, this picturesque city is built on an industrial heritage, sitting side by side with nature and lakefront calm. This duality is something the city’s newest landmark, The Dock Hotel, embraces to the fullest. Its interiors bring together clean lines, soft textures and a quietly international pulse—open now, ready to be experienced.
– From the moment The Dock Hotel joined our portfolio, it was clear that this hotel would bring something fresh to Södertälje. It’s a hotel built for people who enjoy a city’s energy as much as its moments of calm, says Fredrik Blomberg, Chief Operating Officer at Nordic Hotels & Resorts’ Resort Division.

Designed for Easy Living
The Dock Hotel treats the day as one continuous flow rather than a series of boxes to tick. Morning light over the water leads into a few hours of work, while a workout session flows into a long lunch or drinks in the golden hour. Here, work and leisure aren’t opposites.
True to this philosophy, the hotel’s all-day dining spot Jackie’s brings global flavours to the ground floor, while Birds Eye sky bar lifts the evening above the rooftops. It’s a hotel designed for people who switch between pace and pause with ease.
– It feels great to finally be able to open the doors and welcome our first guests. Here, visitors can experience a hotel that offers much more than just rooms, from our new restaurant concepts, and inviting lounge areas, to Södertälje's first sky bar. We are really looking forward to letting guests discover everything that awaits, both now and in the coming year, says Jonas Karlsson, CEO of The Dock Hotel.

When it comes to Meetings & Events offers, The Dockyard rethinks the traditional landscape. Instead of predictable conference layouts, it offers rooms with a point of view, like the banquet hall built for momentum, and the intimate cinema for focus and immersion. Good meetings need character, and the hotel gives them the right backdrop, supported by strong dining and a social atmosphere that carries from morning to night.
Next summer, The Dock Spa opens and adds a major new wellness destination to the region. Two floors of pools, saunas and an outdoor terrace overlooking the canal are set to bring a rare sense of stillness to the centre of the city. The Dock Spa aims to be an oasis of style, tranquility and raw elegance. Set to open simultaneously is The Dock Gym, a 120 square meter big seaside workout area, fully equipped with modern technology.
